About Us
At Corazón de Acero our mission is Truth, Love, Gratitude and all the virtues that give thanks and honor this life we have been given and that aid us in cultivating a more peaceful and beautiful existence. Huachuma is a Truth teller and reveals what is. We hurt ourselves when we refuse to face the lies that wreak havoc on our bodies, minds, and souls. Many of us have adopted narratives and systems that not only damage us, but also the world around us. Shadow projections often appear as we constantly point the finger at the “other” while we forget there are three fingers pointing back at us. A wise medicine man once said that “we must first focus on the war within ourselves, once we end the war inside us, the war outside will cease to exist.” The mind is our battleground. Huachuma is a vessel of peace that is used to lay down the violence we wage against ourselves; and this in turn helps to heal the world. We serve this medicine to uproot the lies that permeate the consciousness of each individual who sits with us. It was said that you will know the Truth, and the Truth will set you free. We believe this at Corazón de Acero. Ultimately it is up to you whether you want to pursue and align with what is True. The medicine of Huachuma is a teacher of the Way and helps us to reconnect with that small still voice within and practice discernment in all areas of our lives. It is an absolute honor to carry this medicine and share it with those that are seeking to align themselves with the Truth.
We are called “Corazón de Acero” which translates in English to “Heart of Steel”. This name is rooted in strength through love. It embodies personal integrity, responsibility, and accountability even in the face of difficulties. Having a heart of steel allows one to love and continue on the path of what is true, even when opposition arises and the way forward seems bleak or confusing. It is a name that emboldens us to keep going, to always keep going.
At Corazón de Acero, everyone is welcome. Each person in this world has a story and much to teach and share. There is no need to wear a mask or silence what is knocking on the doors of your heart. Corazón de Acero is a space for open discourse and genuine respect for others and what they have to say. May we all learn to listen better and to think before we speak, that our words may ring strong and true.
We claim no allegiance to any institution, belief system, or movement. At Corazón de Acero we are dedicated to only the natural way of all things. We make no promise of anything and offer no expectations when it comes to working with the medicine. We are aware that your journey with the medicine will be subjective and tailored to your specific needs at the time. The medicine will connect with you just as you are and only asks you to be honest about whatever it is you are seeking. This medicine is a powerful teacher that has been of service to the world for thousands of years. We at Corazón de Acero trust in the Way that the medicine will lead. We allow the medicine to work purely with you, providing a space that is free from attachments and any set agenda. With that being said, it is our utmost priority to keep the space clean and safe for your journey and to guide the ceremony with music/prayers that come straight from the heart. I had the distinct honor and pleasure of participating in an overnight huachuma ceremony led by Garrett. I had hesitations within myself about being led on a medicine journey by another person, stemming from previously unpleasant experiences with mentors/leaders; but once I met and spoke with Garrett, I felt completely confident in being led by him. He creates a comfortable, safe, and secure environment that invites one to be more open and honest, not only with others but also with yourself. To say that the experience was life-changing would be an understatement. I struggle deeply with being hyper independent, and struggle to ask for help and being vulnerable with others. He created a space where I could break down those barriers within myself to be more open and vulnerable and feel safe to do so, and secure that I would receive the things I needed when I asked for them. This was the first instance where I felt confident in the process of being led through a medicine ceremony, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience to have as my first formal medicine ceremony. His level of care, attentiveness, and dedication not only is consistent and stable throughout the ceremony, but who he is as a being. The level of commitment to the ceremony, the medicine, and those participating stays the same whether it’s one on one or a group of people. Everything is executed with intention, care, and ritual. The music that was curated and played during our ceremony gave me such an opportunity to let myself be open to my inner child, and the passion I felt I had lost along the way of getting older. Watching music be played live and feeling the love that is broadcasted from him made a part of my soul that had been dark for a long time, light up again. Garrett’s kindness and compassion shines through in everything he does, throughout the whole process, no matter what that timeline looks like. He’s a truly genuine, and beautiful soul, and I feel so honored to have been given the chance to experience huachuma in this way. If you are called to this medicine, and to this space, I can’t recommend it enough!
Huachuma was such a gentle yet profoundly powerful medicine to connect with. The experience felt like being held in a field of tender awareness – deeply supported, guided, and cared for throughout the entire journey.
The combination of the plant’s wisdom and Garrett’s solid, grounded presence created a space where I could fully surrender and trust the process. His way of holding ceremony is both steady and heart-centered – you can feel his integrity and deep relationship with the medicine in every moment.
Garrett’s music carries a frequency that opens portals – his medicine songs invite you deeper into yourself and into communion with Spirit. The sound became a bridge that helped me move through layers of emotion and return to a place of peace, connection, and clarity.

I have been blessed to both host and participate in a huachuma ceremony, and it is truly magical to experience it from both sides. Starting with the facilitators, they are some of the most authentic and kindest souls I have the privilege of knowing. There was intention in the way they cared for everyone. When I hosted, I did not partake in the medicine, however, I could still see and feel the energy that the grandfather medicine was working. There was so much love and gratitude within the container held. The music that played (for over 10 hours) took my heart and soul on an international journey. The experience was so profound that I knew I wanted to participate more in-depth the next time the opportunity presented itself. Once I was able to participate, I was able to walk away from that experience with my soul filled exponentially with love and gratitude, and an intense desire to shift the stagnant energies out of my life. The music mixed with the medicine shifted my lifelong healing journey to a place of abundance, acceptance, and reaping the fruits of my labor. Garrett, Justina, and their entire team of divine souls hold a container of love, safety, healing, comfort, and growth through a weaving of huachuma, music medicine, and ceremony that is respectful in every way from harvest, to processing, to ceremony, they hold prayer and a stewardship. I highly recommend this ceremony if it calls to you.
