I first sat with AST almost a year ago and it has been just over 6 months since I last sat with them. They were not my first ceremony.
Finding AST has been such a blessing on my healing journey. Their community welcomed me immediately and I felt accepted and wanted – something I struggle with on a daily basis in my life.
During ceremony I have always felt safe and guarded by Ricardo and his team. I have seen the work Michelle puts into every ceremony helping all of us and ensuring our physical safety and well-being.
Outside of ceremony I have always received prompt responses to inquires and I so appreciate them allowing me to come serve the property.
Thank you Ricardo, thank you Michelle, thank you Meagan – I can’t wait to see you next month for ceremony.
When I first sat in ceremony with Ricardo, Sanador del Viento, and Meagan, from Ancestral Spirit Tribe, on July 11-13, 2025, I knew in my heart that I had found my medicine, my tribe and my people.
That weekend I also understood that previously I had had a 3 day “experience with ayahuasca” back in 2023. Yet, it wasn’t until I heard the call home from the Ancestral Spirit Tribe that I had my very first Yage ceremony, sacred, safe, intentional, and loving of all beings. Not coincidentally, my overall intention for that weekend with the Medicine was to connect with the Source of Unconditional Love. Ricardo and Meagan, with their integrity, experience, and that kid-like playfulness that very old souls have, modeled and held the space for that intention with Respect, Wisdom, and Compassion.
Some Highlights (others than Ricardo’s and Meagan’s characters as, truly, Light Workers):
-Their beautiful, sacred, tidy and clean Home… their generosity by making us feel comfortable and at Home too.
-The Music, wow! Meagan’s angelic voice, and Ricardo’s icaros guiding us through the dark towards the light, through storms toward calm… I still hum some songs that deeply resonated in ceremony that weekend.
-The Medicine, profoundly healing, nurturing, playful (like them), and in its way delicious (I never thought that Medicine could taste good)
-Babushko and Pema, our Ancestral Spirit Animals bringing joy and love.
-The beautiful community of Healers and Light Workers that gather as family around AST
-Ricardo’s wise integration when our souls were wide open and vulnerable weaved everyone’s insights and healing in a beautiful heart-rooted tapestry that connected us all as One.
It amazes me that everyone I’ve encountered who’s sat in ceremony with Ricardo and Meagan, start by describing their experience with AST saying they felt at home right away, held safely and accompanied lovingly and respectfully. That has been my life-changing experience as well.
Thank you Meagan, Ricardo, and Ancestral Spirit Tribe, brother, sister, for showing up as the healthy loving Family that I always dreamt of having.
This was my first time sitting with Ayahuasca, and I had such an incredible, magical, and transformational weekend, and I’m so thankful that I’ve found Ancestral Spirit Tribe, especially to start this new chapter of my journey (sitting with Mama Aya). Ricardo and Meagan are very knowledgeable on Ancestral and holistic healing modalities, and were incredible space holders throughout the weekend. I felt safe, supported, and looked after the entire time. I was very nervous going into it, as this is a great and wisdomous medicine, though experiences can be slightly unpredictable, and at times physically or mentally uncomfortable. However, Ricardo’s icaros and Meagan’s singing and channeling truly guided bringing in love, beauty, and strength throughout the experience. The other folks that came into the ceremony were also people of such high quality character and integrity, so it was not only just the facilitators who are amazing, but also the people that were drawn to this particular medicine space as well, and who also made the experience what it was. From the bottom of my heart, I love Meagan and Ricardo, those that I sat with in my ceremonies, and I very much look forward to meeting the rest of the Ancestral Spirit Tribe familia when I visit Willis, Texas in the future!
My journey started here with AST. Beautiful souls helping others find their way !!!. Beautiful outdoor setting and knowledgeable MC’s there to guide you into a memorable experience. Thank you for the work you do.
🧘❤️💪🏻.
It somehow took me many years to realize my ambition to step into the realm of plant medicine. When I finally arrived, Meagan was standing outside the entrance, waiting patiently for me to step forward. She was recommended to me with great confidence by a friend who professionally helps people to heal in other ways. From the very beginning, she was nothing less than highly attentive. She listened very well and was so accommodating, even making time to have a candid discussion with my wife about everything. She knew that my family was the most important part of it all for me, and she was happy to keep them informed as requested. Her guidance and expertise, which were rooted in her personal experience, provided plenty of assurance that everything was going to work out well, and it did, of course. During the ceremonial endeavor, Meagan’s presence continued to be a solid pillar in the structure of everything. It was an incredible moment in my life. Immediately following, and for however long afterward I had any questions to ask, she gladly made herself available to me. Her care was whole-hearted, thorough, and deeply appreciated.
I’ve had the pleasure of sitting in AST ceremonies a couple of times now and they have been incredibly transformative and healing.
I’ve had experience with plant medicines in the past but taking Aya in the ceremonial setting with Ricardo and team has been on a different level.
The music, support, and energy in the ceremonies is very positive, and I highly recommend AST!
My experience with AST was amazing. The people, the property, the location and the ceremony was beautiful. I felt safe and protected. I have never been so connected to the earth and everyone around me as much as I have with the AST family. I believe in the healing power of AYA and I’m grateful I have found a safe loving community where I can continue to grow on my spiritual journey. Thank you AST, you all are amazing. I sat with the AST family for two ceremonies so far and I already feel like I’m apart of the family. Ricardo, Michelle, Bratz and the entire team are full of wisdom and in touch with their intuition. The music and musician are amazing. I look forward to spending more time with my new found family and community. Thank you all for you support, service and authenticity. God/ the Universe/ AYA has guided me to you and I’m eternally grateful!!!
I have been sitting for clients for a few years as a clinician. I have co-facilitated multiple psychedelic ceremonies with Meagan and there is no one I trust more in this space. She is very kind and nurturing and creates such a safe and sacred environment. I have also referred many clients to her all of which have expressed a deep fondness after their interactions with her. Their space in FL is a lovely and secluded center where you can feel held and taken care of.
I was in my 40s when I discovered Ayahuasca through a random YouTube video. I decided to take a leap of faith and searched for an authentic and safe experience.
By chance I found this place a through an Ayahuasca Facebook group. I attended my first ceremony last December and attended my second one this past weekend.
Overall, the experience has been truly life changing. The amount of information obtained during a single session is unbelievable.
The church has always made me feel welcomed. The facilitators are very kind to newbies and they do small things to show that they care, such as offering pillows and blankets, advice, chakra cleansings, and holding your hand occasionally during your vision (when they feel like you are going through something).
The facility itself is located in a sparsely populated location. I prefer their indoor ceremony, but the one outside and under the trees would have been nice minus the mosquitos.
If you are looking for a safe space to experience Ayahuasca, this is the place for you. They take a lot of precautions to ensure that the journey will be safe, such as reviewing your medical history, explaining the process, and providing sage* cleansings before and after the ceremony. Overall, I’m very happy with my experiences and I am already planning another ceremony.
I have been going to Ricardo’s ceremonies for over a year now. In that time, my life has completely changed. Of course it has been a lot of integration work outside of ceremony as well that has brought me where I am now, but I will say that the space Ricardo holds has been a huge contributor in my transformation.
My first ceremony there was amazing. I brought my guitar with me and he invited me to play towards the closing of the ceremony. Since then, medicine music has become my path. And I credit Ricardo with allowing me to have the space to develop my gift. Thank you brother.
Ricardo holds a very safe space that flows so well. His Icaros are beautiful and it is amazing to see him move energies with his songs.
The ceremony space itself is a beautiful place. When I walked into the space the first time I felt like I had been there before. They have a beautiful space inside the house and also a beautiful space outside nestled amongst the trees.
The community is what has been so very special to me. I have grown to consider Ricardo not only my teacher, but also a friend. I appreciate the authenticity that he shares. He doesn’t put himself on a pedestal even though he has been working with the medicine for 20 years. He is himself in ceremony and that shows me that it is safe to be myself as well.
Michelle is just an amazing person. I have grown to really love her. She is a mama bear and I always know that no matter what experience I am passing through in ceremony she is there to help with so much love.
Meagan has such a beautiful feminine presence that carries so much nurturing. I have only sat with her a couple of nights and also spent some time with her and Ricardo in Florida but I instantly felt her warm heart.
Bartz, the fire keeper, he is so intentional and has so much love and passion for his service. He is also a beautiful person and I love to be in ceremony with him.
I am so grateful for this community. They all gave me so much love and support as I passed through a deep crisis this last year. I have so much gratitude for the Taita and the space holders.
Also, the people that pass through there, they continue to come back and I have had the privilege to meet some wonderful people.
There is only love here.
That is my experience and I am so grateful. I highly recommend these ceremonies to anyone who wants to have an experience that flows.
Blessings. 🙏🏻
I had my very first aya ceremony early this year and I can genuinely say it was a beautiful experience overall. The music and chanting really helped connect throughout the journey. Ricardo and Meagan, they both are special human beings, deeply supportive and trustworthy. I felt in great hands through my journey. I would only do it again with them.
By far the best Ayahuasca ceremony I’ve been too. Live music, everyone was invited to bring any sound instruments for community sang along. Food was lovely and delicious. I went in with a heavy burden and came out feeling very clear.
Meagan and Ricardo have held a beautiful safe space for me on a number of occasions. I always feel so deeply seen and understood by Meagan every time we’ve worked together in medicine or integration.
I received a mapacho cleansing from Ricardo, I appreciate the grounded masculine energy he brought to that container.
I love seeing them work in unison and excited to see how that continues to unfold
Thank you both for all that you do 🤍
I went to my first ceremony back in 2021, and I’ve been going back ever since. I’ve been to about 8 ceremonies all together, some have been great, some have been difficult, and the experience was all dependent on where I was at in my life, and what lessons I needed to learn.
Ricardo and his team have always been very professional. He puts in a lot of effort in his music, and in guiding people through the journey. The one ceremony that I struggled a lot, Michelle made sure to stay with me and make sure that I was ok. Overall this is a great place to go to, and I look forward to many more ceremonies.
This was my first ever aya ceremony and I can honestly say the experience was wonderful overall. The journey was beautiful. From the music, the chanting, the healing prayers, Ricardo and Meagan checking in with me. I felt safe which allowed openness and surrender to the medicine. Of course there were times in the process I was really struggling. Breaking through different fears and anxieties but the rhythm of the ceremony guided me through it. Ricardo and Meagan are very special and trustworthy.
I went to Ancestral’s ceremony in FL, July of 2025 and not only did I feel safe, I felt completely at home. I was referred to Ricardo by a mutual friend and he was everything she spoke about him. Welcoming, calm, knowledgeable, his flow of ceremony, his music and he has best tasting medicine I’ve ever had. His helper/facilitator, Meagan, was also amazing. Her calm, feminine energy was the perfect touch to the ceremony/weekend.
I highly recommend Ancestral Spirit Tribe as a safe space for healing.
I’m excited to watch their FL location grow and hope to visit their TX location soon. 🤍🌱
I have had the privilege of sitting in ceremony with Mother Aya about 15 times in California and Texas. I can assure you Ancestral Spirit Tribe is the real deal and everything needed for a wonderful journey is provided and then some; safe space, comfortable, shaman, staff, pre-ceremony, in-ceremony, post ceremony, integration, etc….If you are looking for a space to discover and a journey you will not forget I would highly recommend Ancestral Spirit Tribe. PLEASE do your research as I’ve seen first hand the number of “ceremonies” popping up around the Country. Here you will find authentic, spiritual, respectful, well organized, and deeply rooted in the traditions of our ancestors.
This was my first ceremony ever! I met meagan through a solstice ceremony. But, I had never done a one on one ceremony before. I wanted to do one but I wanted to have my daughter with me to share the experience and Meagan suggested a mother daughter ceremony. It was the most beautiful session that I got to experience with my daughter. Meagan provided a very safe place for us. That even my daughter felt it.
The ceremony helped my daughter and I have a better connection and more communication. It allowed us to open up to our feelings and express them to each other. It really was truly a beautiful experience I recommend to everyone.
We will definitely continue this journey and continue working with Meagan in the future.
I sat with several different space holders before finding ancestral spirit tribe in 2023, (including a popular Taita from SoulQuest). Once I was gifted the opportunity to sit with Ricardo, his twenty years of experience in ancestral teachings, I knew I’d found my tribe. In a world surrounded by people who went to the jungle for thirty days and became self proclaimed neoshamans, Ricardo is the real deal. His icaros are from the heart and there is a certain mastery of energy that can’t be faked. The intake and medical screening is very thorough and I have always felt safe and supported here. Highly recommend sitting in either their Texas or Florida locations 🙏🏻
AST was both one of the more powerful and peaceful ceremonies I’ve had in the U.S. Its aya brew is top notch, both in flavor (rare!) and in effect. The ceremony space in the house is beautiful, and Maestro Ricardo’s icaros are truly incredible. His introduction to ceremony for newcomers was one of the better ones I’ve heard, and the ceremony itself is an ideal blend of tradition and adaptation for U.S. culture.
I sat in ceremony with Ricardo twice and also did my own ceremonies there. I have known him for five years and believe he is good person. AST is very good with screening and follow up and I have seen many people grow and have profound healing there.
In regard to the negative posts:
I don’t think there is a facilitator out there that does not have a participant enter a fear realm and see them as a black magic shaman or a demon, or see demons in the space, if they do this work long enough. It is unfortunate for all involved when this happens, but is also how the medicine sometimes works. Medicines often amplify our fears and shadows. I am very sympathetic to any participant that experiences this and also don’t want to negate their experience. Their experience is very real to them and it should not be taken lightly. It’s always important for participants to follow up with someone they trust to help them work through this. With the right integration specialist, often people who have these experiences are able to dig deeper and eventually see the silver linings and what the medicine was trying to show them. There are most definitely black magic shamans out there, but in knowing Ricardo for five years, I have never seen any evidence of this myself.
I do not know about the story that is posted about Ricardo not being a true Taita, but I can say with confidence that he holds a safe space and the space holders are experienced and competent and care very much. Ricardo has demonstrated to me, through his knowledge of medicines as well as how he responds to people in ceremonies, that he has a wealth of experience with medicine.
I gave this a four-star review only because I don’t think any place can ever do anything perfectly. There is not a one-size-fits-all when it comes to ceremonies, and I personally just prefer the Peruvian style of Ayahuasca, but I know of many people who enjoy his ceremonies and return regularly.
A “very good” ceremony to me is a safe ceremony where participants feel safe in the space. Some people may have challenging ceremonies, or not like the facilitator or the structure of the ceremony, but they do not leave with more trauma or feel they have been harmed in some way.

First time experience with aya, veteran psychedelic user
Went into this experience completely open and prepared for the medicine, but soon found out how gullible and naive I was for having booked something with such ignorance and lack of respect for what’s actually out there in the world. In short, I should’ve looked for a more reputable place with more reviews and a more established face.
Honestly the only place I saw this retreat on was reddit, and only could attest to the few reviews here, though limited they may be.
Anyways to the experience, everyone was welcom-y and seemingly hip this type of stuff. All the usual stuff you would expect that goes along with this type of stuff.. but the curtains came down after the second cup.
I was completely centered in the medicine and grounded in my medicine and when the taita and his two witch followers attempted to channel satanic energy through my energy channel. We were all deep in the medicine, the taita had helped me remove many obstacles and spirits, things holding me back, he tried to gain my trust with the medicine and as soon as I opened up to them, they just tried to make me part of their satanic brujeria.
I’m a very adept and trained user of psychedelics, I’ve went to the deepest of ends and know good from evil. They practiced shamanism in the practical way, they removed negative entities and spirits and what not, helped people out of their suffering, but only to turn around and abuse them for their own spiritual fetishizations and gain. I saw demonic goat like god-heads possessing the taita (Colombian shaman) and his two followers just completely allowed him to use them and control them for whatever his wishes were.
The taita also completely controlled some of the other participants. I saw their souls completely controlled by him, his same exact energy being cast from the alter, represented in their same energy signatures. He would do a round of his satanic witchcraft, and then cease after his demonic desires had been sated. There was nothing good going on there. Many people were tested, if they could defend themselves they resisted, if not they they were possessed. I work only with pure energy, I have a pure heart and love for the medicine and doing what’s right, despite my setbacks and obstacles on the path.
Basically they are practitioners of satanism, evil sorcery, black magic, dark energy. They don’t uphold the highest values of the medicine, they don’t believe in God, and the certainly don’t have your best interests in mind. They will abuse you, and use you and your energy to do satanic acts of evil. Please do not go here.
It’s cheap and the medicine is good, but you’re putting youre life on the line if you journey with them. The taita surely stopped working with the medicine long ago. He exploits the weak, abuses the power of the medicine to his own spiritual gain, and most of all his heart isn’t pure. Do not pay these people, do not put your self at risk.
Absolutely a safe and beautiful team. I feel at home with Ancestral Spirit Tribe. Iam so grateful 🙏 I was lead to the beautiful profound ceremonies they have. There is so much love and teaching with the medicine. I will continue to sit with this group and learn more about the medicine. Highly recommended🙏💫😇
Such beautiful ceremonies provided by the most loving and welcoming facilitators. I feel so at home and safe within this space and feel so much love and gratitude to the people of Ancestral Spirit Tribe.
