Luna Wolf has been a game changer in my life. From the moment I walked into ceremony several years ago, I knew I was in the right place. The facilitators and guardians provide an amazing and safe container for the ceremonies. The care for each participant is immense, from the initial medical intake to individual support in ceremony. This allows for deep healing and spiritual journeying. I am grateful for the entire Luna Wolf community as well.
One thing that sticks out to me is the passion and dedication Stephen has for this work. He has trained extensively with many Ayahuasceros in Peru. I have personally traveled to Peru to experience ceremony lead by Stephen’s current teacher, Josue Perez Rios. To me, knowing Stephen is connected to the Shipibo lineages of Ayahuasca in Peru is very important and validating. Having met Josue Perez Rios personally, I can attest to his credibility as a shaman and healer. This reflects highly on Stephen and his capabilities as an Ayahuascero.
Overall, I feel blessed to have found Luna Wolf. I am grateful for everything they provide to allow for deep healing and spiritual work.
Luna Wolf is an exceptional place. Safety was my priority and I quickly felt trust in both the facility and the process. The ceremonies are powerful, the brew is strong and the environment is supportive.
What makes Luna Wolf unique is its deep understanding of the realities of living in a high-stress society. Their post-ceremonial support during integration is designed to be practical and directly applicable to daily life, which is different from South America, where ceremonies are often one-time experiences with little or no follow-up. Knowing how powerful ceremonies can be, I feel it’s important that support doesn’t end when the ceremony does. This ongoing integration makes the work truly sustainable long after the ceremonies themselves.
Four months into my healing journey, I moved from Chicago to Minneapolis to be close to the community, knowing the deepest work requires time and strong support. I am a newby when it comes to sitting with these potent medicines and consider myself incredibly fortunate to have attended my first 2 medicine ceremonies (Bufo & Aya) with Luna Wolf Sanctuary. I’m impressed with LWS: from the professionalism/deep knowledge/care of its facilitators (Stephen/Christopher) to the kind, nurturing assistance provided by their ceremony guardians/helpers and to the wonderful community of participants. From the get-go, I was impressed by their screening protocols and the information/transparency offered in their Member Guidebook — this is not some fly-by-night, skeevy operation. The medicines on offer are powerful and transformative, and the ceremonies are well thought out (with clear expectations and safety protocols) and designed to maximally provide the participants with a safe space to experience profound states of consciousness and, more importantly, to be able to integrate/weave those experiences back into their normal sublunary lives.

I feel truly blessed that my introduction to plant medicine came through Chris and Stephen at Luna Wolf. Looking back on my journey, I can’t imagine having had a more meaningful or supportive entry into this work. Their presence, guidance, and integrity have shaped my entire relationship with the medicine in a deeply positive way.
As a professional in the mental health space — serving as Clinical Director of a behavioral health firm — I approached this experience with a fair amount of skepticism. I had my doubts about participating in plant medicine ceremonies. With a history of severe opiate addiction and years of work in a highly clinical setting that doesn’t always support alternative modalities for trauma and addiction, I had many questions and concerns.
Stephen and Chris took their time, again and again, to answer those questions with patience, respect, and deep understanding. They honored my background and never pushed or persuaded — instead, they offered clarity, compassion, and thoughtful guidance that allowed me to feel informed and empowered in my decision. Their ability to bridge the sacred and the practical made a profound impact on my willingness to take that first step.
Over the course of nearly a dozen ceremonies — both private and in group settings — I have felt consistently safe, seen, and cared for. 2025 marks my fifteenth year of sobriety. Through hard work and dedication I was able to achieve this lifestyle, but also give my respect and thankfulness to mother ayahuasca. I first drank the medicine in 2010 in Iquitos Peru which was a life changing moment. Learning the spirit of the medicine and the path of the Shipibo lineage gave me hope to keep my sobriety alive.
Living in Minnesota, I have always tried to find health oriented social groups to keep my healthy lifestyle and sobriety thriving. Finding Luna Wolf Sanctuary last year was also a big chapter in my personal life. I had been sitting with various medicine practitioners the past 10 years taking the work seriously. I discovered Luna Wolf to be one of the best I have worked with, as they full encompass the ways of the Amazon and traditions of healing. I have sat in many ceremonies along with a handful of close friends of mine Minnesota region. We all find the facilitators and team extremely professional. The most important factor that resonates with myself is their integration support. Integration is much needed in the medicine realms, especially when grounding down into daily life. The in person and online support they offer at the Lake Harriet Spiritual Community center is top notch. Much Thanks to Luna Wolf and all my teachers from Peru.
Working with many sacred medicines over the past 10 years with lots of traveling, as a midwest woman was looking for something local with a community element. Finding Luna Wolf Sanctuary has been a blessing as a medicine woman myself who has a high bar. I sat with various circles in the midwest and California but never quite finding my place. I was on the search and lookout vetting various communities who have ties to the sacred lineages of the Amazon, in which Luna Wolf Sanctuary does.
I was pleasantly surprised the head Ayahuascero of LWS trained with the late Diego Palma 18 years ago, who was one of my favorite teachers and musicians out of Puerto Maldonado Peru. To then see they work and train with World renowned Pablo Amaringos nephews in Pucallpa Peru, Curandero Josue Rios.
It was evident seeing the years of dedication and years training they have put in. Overall their team is compassionate, disciplined and take the craft seriously. I like Luna Wolf Sanctuary and the community they built. Most of all, i like that they keep the indigenous RITUALS, source traditional sacred MEDICINES, provide safe and beautiful indoor/outdoor LOCATIONS, set careful GUIDELINES before/after ceremony, make continual INTEGRATIONS available, and retain a strong supportive COMMUNITY. I’m a mother, grandmother, retired, 73 years old, had never done any psychedelics or cannibis all my life until 2020. My son Christopher educated and helped me understand how psychedelic plant medicines became popular and proven effective for treating mental illness through many studies and researches long time ago. By the time he co-founded Luna Wolf Sanctuary, i had experienced a few profound transformations ~ MENTALLY, SPIRITUALLY and even PHYSICALLY from psilocybin, ayahuasca and bufo.
So i continued exploring in a deeper way by sitting at ceremonies with Luna Wolf. My personal experience at each and every ceremony has been unbelievably HEALING. I am very grateful to have found luna wolf . I had heard of Ayahuasca numerious times but always thought i had to travel a long ways. I had saw threw a friends page and found it was possible to do a ceremony close to home . I have done 3 ceremonies with luna and the amount of love from everyone and amount of care time put into every moment of our exsperience from the music to the safeness felt before during and after ceremony is an unmatched feeling ive felt !! I have also done bufo . Attending multiple ceremonies with Luna Wolf has been the most powerful and heart-opening experiences of my life. From the moment I arrive to ceremony, I felt held, safe, and deeply respected. I am grateful to have found Luna Wolf at a time that I was ready to dive deeper into my healing. I had felt called to Ayahuasca for almost 15 years, but the conditions never quite lined up to travel. I had been aware of Luna Wolf for about a year before I finally decided to attend a public information session in November 2024. I was immediately impressed by the leadership and the team that was there to answer questions and introduce us to the space where the ceremonies were held. I believe that lineage is extremely important to the authenticity and safety of these medicine spaces, so I was happy that it was one of the first things mentioned, and it is consistently centered in ceremony. I also appreciated the extensive preparation guide that helped me to feel safe and ready going into my first ceremony. As someone with extensive experience organizing meditation retreats, I have been tremendously impressed by the coordination and care that goes into the ceremonies. I feel very safe every time I go into a ceremony, and I know that I can trust that I will get any help that I need, because I have seen the team and community deal gracefully with every difficult experience that has come up. I originally came for Ayahuasca, but I quickly found my way to the Jaguar Bufo and Kambo sacraments as well. I now sit regularly with all three, and I can’t believe how quickly I have seen positive results in my life. The consistent calendar of community events and integration circles have also helped tremendously. I highly recommend Luna Wolf for anyone interested in their sacraments and for anyone looking for a strong community.
Thankfully Ayahuasca came into my life 15 years ago in Iquitos Peru. I was suffering from depression and PTSD from being a US Marine active duty for 8 years. After partaking in a two week long dieta with my shaman, I could feel the medicine helped tremendously healing many aspects of my life. I continued to go to Peru every few years to keep up with the medicine. Since then, living in the midwest and raising two children, unfortunately it is not easy to travel back to South America.
I found Luna Wolf Sanctuary in in Febuary 2023 and was extremely happy with their knowledge, experience, and safe container. Having worked with ayahuasca for many many years, I was not sure what to expect drinking it in the states. I had tried a few other smaller communities and circles in the midwest and Florida prior to finding Luna Wolf, although the container was not the strongest nor the medicine effects.
I was pleasantly surprised on the caliber of ceremony, integration support offered, as well as the strong community aspect with Luna Wolf.
I highly recommend them if you want a safe container, while having a strong connection to the traditions and lineages of the Amazon. I have sat multiple times in their various retreats they hold, while always leaving having a deeper connection with my spirituality and a better father.
Luna Wolf has become an integral part in my healing over the past year and a half and I would not be where I am without them. I have sat with each of the sacraments multiple times and always feel extremely safe, loved, cared for, and able to fully surrender to the experience and the medicine. Ceremonies are well organized, detailed, and thoughtfully prepared and conducted. The support team holds a safe and strong container, helping individuals and the collective alike, while their leaders present in a supportive, caring, and nurturing manner, offering resources as needed, and are very approachable. The whole team is knowledgeable and willing to answer questions and go the distance with the work they put in to make every ceremony as meaningful as possible. There are opportunities to stay in touch through chat groups, community events, private ceremonies, healing immersion events in beautiful locations, and even group travel to Peru.
