About Us
The Gathering of Tribes & Indigenous Cultures provides a home in San Antonio, so that tribes from different regions and their corresponding Sacred Plant Medicine can be experienced in the most sacred and genuine way possible. We hold space for other tribes, so that people can come to San Antonio and experience medicine the way it has been done for thousands of years.
At The Gathering of Tribes & Indigenous Cultures, we believe in service and gratitude. Sacred Plant Medicines are meant to be shared along with the message of unity, self healing, and eternal love. Until All Have Gathered is our mission statement. This is possible through the help and guidance of all Sacred Medicine.
Our goals are to provide everyone a setting that helps us detach, decompress, and diminish the traumas and wounds that keep us from moving forward. In self healing, we release things that no longer seek to serve us. In unity, we remember that we are all one. With eternal love we can remain centered no matter what trial and tribulations may come our way.
We offer Ayahuasca Ceremonies, Women Only Retreats , Men Only Retreats, Free Veteran Ayahuasca Ceremonies, and Free Rapé Circles.

I’ll begin by noting that I’m not a public review archetype (black mirror: nosedive). The experience of participating in ceremony with The Gathering of the Tribes is intrinsic and so deeply excavating of the layers in my core being. Inversely, I am flooded with a warmth, a quench to arid landscape that I hadn’t recognized was barren of moisture, so intensely that a public witness is deserving. John and Debbie are incredible beings. They are humble, loving, professional, comical, practical, accommodating, and most notably divinely gifted. To say that I am glad to have met them is a cosmic understatement. The space that they hold for veterans to sit with natural medicines is the perfect recipe that your grandmother won’t give you exact measurements for, but every time it hits in all the right places and you dance and may even cry because how can something be this good and you get to taste it? They facilitated my transformation on multiple plains of existence. I have no critiques. The universe knew I needed to know them, and now it is so. Then there is The Tribe, an assembling of complicated beings that while gathered to work on their deepest and most unsightly issues, only communicate to each other in a language of love. I am whelmed. This community is enrichment and edification. Finally, but most certainly not least, there is the land. It is therapy. It is strength. The land and the Hape tree are kindred. They are the good family members, affectionately observing and unintrusively encouraging you and showing you new possibilities, or simply bringing you back to the middle because you needed balance. My experience with The Gathering of Tribes Indigenous Cultures was profound . I went to the ceremony with no real depth of knowledge of understanding. No real expectations other than to be open minded and hopefully reach some sort of meaning and clarity. To be quite honest I was a little hesitant in the beginning to go but after speaking with sister Debbie over the phone , her knowledge and experience was all that I needed to affirm that going there was the right choice . From the moment I arrived the land was so inviting and peaceful. The people were so loving and honest with their intentions . I felt welcomed and embraced . Brother Jonathon is amazing ,a beacon of hope , strength and courage! I felt a kindred spirit with him , a warrior spirit 🔥⚔️. When I sat with him during the r’ape , (h-a-p-e) 💨🐲🐉 which is when I felt the most vulnerable during the most intense moments of the ceremony . Brother John looked me in my eyes and spoke encouragingly …And In those moments is when I found courage and strength, although physically weakened , I was able to spiritually overcome and continue with the process…What I received through out the course of the ceremony was far beyond that ! It’s hard to put accurately in words what all I experienced because some of it was so deep and personal and can’t explain, I can say that mother Aya introduced herself to me and met me right where I was … a broken, lost soul who was seeking identity and purpose and she spoke so direct and loving and embraced me and reveled truth to me that was far beyond my wisdom …over all I felt a deep connection with earth and deep admiration for all Mother Earth provides . I experienced healing in forms I never thought possible. I met wonderful people who accepted me , embraced me with love and that I I have come to know as my tribe . I still have more work to do but the message for me is that … I am not alone on this journey and that this journey is not just a physical journey . It is -an amazing spiritual journey and every challenge and adversity I experience is molding me and preparing me for the next part of my journey and I am extremely grateful to know and feel loved and embraced . My ancestors are watching, mother is with me , and my tribe growing in strength and number . Thank you TGOTIC 🙏💙 🌍
I will try to put my experience into words …. I found my Tribe!!! It was a 4 day ceremony, I got there in a Friday and I immediately felt connected to the land and this beautiful tree they have where everything happens! I started Friday with Sapo 🐸 which opened me up and purged me! Then Rapé and it purged me again! I needed this cleansing, then we continued with ayahuasca and it has been the most wonderful experience!!!! If you’ve tried ayahuasca before please trust me when I tell you, that you haven’t experienced ayahuasca the correct way. Brother John and Sister Debbie provide the perfect balance of the divine masculine and the divine feminine! Mama Aya is calling you to find your space ❤️🔥
Where do I begin…
I feel so honored to have been able to experience and receive this plant medicine. From the instant I met John and Debbie, I felt warmth, love and compassion. They are soo knowledgeable and respectful of the tribe and region in which they receive the medicine from. They put you at ease, educate you every step of the way, and allow you to ride the wave on your terms with their loving help. While also answering any questions you might have. Their intentions are pure and they’re some of the coolest people I’ve met. If you’re looking for true soul healing, I can’t think of any other place I would recommend. Truly life changing what they are doing. My anxiety is non existent since receiving the plant medicine.
Jonathan and Debbie are the most welcoming and loving people. It was an honor and privilege to been able to have taken part of Free Veterans Ayahuasca Ceremony. Having suffered from mental health issues for many years, the plant medicine transformed my life in so many positive ways. Being around other veterans dealing with so many like issues it was reassuring knowing how amazing both Jonathan and Debbie took care of us through out the whole ceremony. I highly recommend anyone looking for inner healing to attend one of their ceremonies.
