  • This was my first time experiencing plant medicine, and I believe I could not have picked a better ceremony or better people to sit with. I found Christian via this site and was encouraged by the positive reviews. After reaching out via email, we set up time to speak by phone, and my instincts told me that this was a genuine, compassionate human who wants to help and heal people, and who has also been on an incredible journey himself. I still had some misgivings but decided to take the plunge and sent my deposit for the “Gentle” ceremony in March. When I arrived at Christian’s home, I was greeted by a warm hug and instantly felt safe and at ease after meeting the other guests. Everybody was so warm, accommodating, and open; difficult to find these settings in the modern age.

The ceremony itself was a unique, connective, introspective, and spiritual journey that I will never forget. Christian and his assistant, John, were dedicated to making ceremony attendees feel at ease and safe, all while curating the best experience possible. They are deeply caring individuals and so easy to connect with, it was such a pleasure getting to know them and sharing my inner vulnerabilities so openly.

I was in a group of 10 or so (mostly couples), and after some introductions and an opening ceremony, we took a tincture imbued with medicine. Christian and John had set up tents, mattresses, blankets, everything we needed to feel comfortable. I highly recommend bringing a water bottle, food is provided as well, although I wasn’t very hungry throughout most of the evening or even the following morning. The medicine starting taking effect about 30 min to an hour in, and from there the world became very surreal. Christian and John would check on me and others often, we would share memories, emotions, wishes, past traumas, and many deep conversations in a non-judgmental setting. The connection was so powerful; I’ve never felt anything quite like it. Nobody is pressured into anything throughout the ceremony, and as a more experienced and wise couple told me: “The medicine will take you where you need to go.” There were a few brief moments throughout the evening that I felt trapped by the medicine, but I learned to let go and enjoy the experience through and through.

The ceremony was followed by an “Integration” in the morning, during which each guest shared their unique experience with the group, what they learned, felt, and/or saw the previous evening. Even though the medicinal effects had ebbed from the previous night, I found so much value in listening to others’ experiences. It was truly a place where we could all be vulnerable, and Christian did an excellent job facilitating discussions while sharing his own past and profound insights into the nature of how we can all heal from plant medicines. I plan on attending future virtual integrations which Christian holds regularly. I’ve spoke to Christian twice since the ceremony–you can hear and feel his passion for understanding and helping others. I’m so grateful and profoundly happy that I met Christian. Please do not hesitate to partake in this experience; I can’t imagine a better shepherd than Christian and will continue to work with him as I seek to further understand myself and heal from past wounds. Aho!
