I think Gervais is capable at what she is doing with Leaf and DeVine.
There were prep meetings before the ceremony where all my questions were calmly and respectfully answered. The ceremony itself was under control. I felt respected as a person throughout and the facilitators did a very good job at being aware of the energy in the room, and with respect to paying attention to all of the participants. Also, all of the healing / self understanding that happens points back to yourself (as it should, you got this :)). The facilitators are not making themselves out to be “holy” or “THE way” (This is very important) They are there to guide and make sure things are happening safely. For the two times I was present at the ceremony, they succeeded at this task.
After the ceremony there are regular integration meetings, which help people weave a cohesive narrative with respect to their newly acquired experience and their life in general. I think talking this out with people that had a similar experience is very useful. There are at least two meetings a week, an hour and a half each.
Going forward, I intend to volunteer for a ceremony (or a few who knows), so that I can pay it forward and hold space for others, and also so that I can experience the other role as well.
Overall, I would recommend Leaf and Devine to the person who wants to try Ayahuasca in safe, and understanding environment. You’ll be good.
