I’ve been a part of the Amazon Roots community since 2020, and throughout the years, I’ve participated in ceremonies guided by various medicine people in South Florida . My experiences here, with Amazon Roots, with Kia and Juliana, have been marked by nothing but love, kindness, friendship, and respect.

I’ve invited many with me to sit in sacred space around the fire with them—because I’ve always felt safe, welcomed, and deeply held. I would never bring others, let alone my own children, if I sensed otherwise. Their space is a family environment—one where I’ve sat alongside their children and mine. That says everything about the level of trust, love, and integrity present.

I do not see them ever intentionally causing harm or disrespect to the medicine, the traditions, or the people who come in search of healing, community, and peace. We all carry battles we don’t always speak about—whether we are seen as the teacher or the student. And real wisdom honors that the teacher is always still learning.

This community has shown its commitment to honoring sacred traditions, adapting as needed while keeping the passion for the medicine alive. For that, I am truly grateful.
