Earth Connection Community
About Us
Earth Connection Community is a spiritual retreat and church nestled on a private, secluded ranch south of Sedona, Arizona — a sanctuary where ancient desert land, dark skies, and deep stillness become the backdrop for genuine transformation.
We offer monthly, immersive, all-inclusive Ayahuasca retreats rooted in the Shipibo tradition of the Peruvian Amazon.
Our lead facilitator has spent over a decade in deep study and ceremony in Peru, working directly within the Shipibo lineage, and brings that same reverence, skill, and devotion to every retreat we hold.
What We Offer:
Each retreat spans 5 days and 4 nights and includes three Ayahuasca ceremonies followed by a dedicated integration day — giving the wisdom of the medicine time and space to settle into your daily life and spiritual path.
Guests stay on-site in brand-new, climate-controlled tiny homes, offering a serene and comfortable place to rest, reflect, and process between ceremonies. Every element of the container is intentionally curated:
🍃 Three sacred Ayahuasca ceremonies guided by Shipibo-trained facilitators and a compassionate, spiritually-grounded support team
🍃 On-site lodging in private, climate-controlled tiny homes on off-grid desert land
🍃 Clean, organic meals and herbal teas prepared to nourish the body and support the medicine work
🍃 All ceremony essentials provided, including high-quality mats, blankets, and support materials
🍃 Full access to private hiking trails, dark-sky stargazing, and dedicated outdoor meditation spaces
🍃 Spiritual guidance for pre-immersion preparation and post-ceremony integration
A Note on Participation:
Attendance at our sacred ceremonies requires your sincere affirmation that you are seeking access for spiritual purposes. We recognize that healing — mental, emotional, and physical — often unfolds along a spiritual path, and we honor that fully. However, participation must be rooted in a genuine desire to engage with this sacred work, not solely to obtain a substance. If you are unsure whether this path is right for you, we warmly invite a conversation before you register.
Our retreats are held at our off-grid sanctuary south of Sedona, AZ — a landscape that is itself a teacher, offering solitude, natural beauty, and the kind of quiet that allows something deeper to speak.

I’ve had the honor and privilege of sitting with Kano and his team on several occasions. The way they curate the container, care for every detail of the space and journey, and how they facilitate the medicine with so much respect and humility, all truly creates a safe space for deep healing and transformation. Beyond that, the container is held with a level of integrity and thoughtfulness that has made me feel I’ve found my family to sit with when She calls and it’s time to dive deep. And the MUSIC; oh the music is heavenly – on another level. Kano weaves in his beautiful talents and gifts to help create the most powerful, meaningful and supportive experiences in this line of work. I’m grateful and blessed for the opportunity to do the work alongside such radiant, committed, and inspiring community operating with such an high level integrity. I highly recommend sitting with Kano, wherever he’s facilitating.
Kano carries himself with a level of humility that’s rare. In his presence, there is a quiet strength and wisdom that naturally creates a sense of trust. It feels grounded, steady, and genuine in a way that’s hard to describe.
His voice is something I don’t think can be fully explained — it carries emotion in a way that you have to experience to understand.
I never felt pushed or guided in a certain direction, but instead supported in my own process, which allowed the experience to be real and personal.
This is a space I deeply respect.
I attended multiple ceremonies with maestro Kano, including this beautiful container in Arizona. It’s a very special place. Personally for me it was the most beautiful and powerful experience. The container felt safe and supportive, the land is magical and alive, participants became instant friends, support staff was wonderful and nourishing, the facilitators were incredibly gifted and skilled, and Kano… I’m forever humbled and inspired by his leadership, wisdom, talent and dedication to the plant medicine and shipibo lineage. Thank you Kano so so much for the hard work you do and for bringing us home to ourselves.
A otro nivel or another level is how deep the connection and healing with master plants I have reached in this container.
Kano has help and support my journey for many years bringing his medicine and wisdom into my life.
I’m so lucky and grateful to sit with you Kano.
Thank you hermano.
Working alongside Kano and witnessing his evolution through the years has been a genuine honor. There is a depth to the way he has met himself over time that is not performative or conceptual. It is earned. You can feel it in the spaces he holds. Kano carries a grounded presence that allows others to settle, to open, and to trust the process they are in. He does not rush, fix, or impose. He listens. He attunes to the field and serves it wholeheartedly. And from that place, something real begins to unfold. The kind of healing that happens in his space is not forced. It emerges, naturally, because of the safety and integrity he embodies. What stands out most to me is his devotion. Not just to the work, but to truth, the communities and lineages he comes from and those he is called to serve. To showing up as an open vessel to serve from the heart. It is with real pride that I speak to Kano as a man of integrity, of safety, and of depth. The space he creates is one where transformation is not only possible, it is invited.
Earth Connection Community holds a beautiful space for healing and connection to self, community, and source. I’ve experienced many different circles across the US and South America and Earth Connection is my preference. The services are held to a high level of integrity, reverence, and heart. The container is always well structured, thoughtful, and I feel held and safe. It is also important for me to feel a connection to the sacred and I receive this with Earth Connection.
I’ve been a part of many plant medicine ceremonies over the years, and I’ve had wonderful experiences, but it wasn’t until I sat with Kano that I understood what it means to truly hold space with integrity and be in service to the medicine. His wise and compassionate nature serve to create a safe and supportive container, while his icaros and guitar work are stunning and inspiring. Highly, highly recommended.
Earth Connection Community creates a beautiful container for the medicine to do its work. The shaman Kano has a strong, confident, and kind presence. It is clear that he has had much training with the Shipibo people, and brings their lineage strong into his ceremonies.
The retreat center has a lovely energy, kind staff, and it is clear that the medicine is being respected and honored throughout the process.
One thing I love in particular is the thorough intake process, and the emphasis here on integration. ECC is the first to have offered me an integration call or any integration resources for that matter.
I had heard about ayahuasca for over 10 years before sitting in my first ceremony. I was petrified but something deeper called me forward. A friend who sits regularly in Mexico told me to watch out for white people serving indigenous medicine in America. With that information, I walked in with a boat load of judgements before the first ceremony.
I’m happy to report Kano serves this medicine with utmost integrity and respect to the shipibo lineage. He has studied with this tribe in the jungles of Peru for many years. He holds a strong and sturdy container where I felt fully safe to go deep and heal. His music, his heart, his commitment to humanity is like no other. He served me my first cup of ayahuasca and I will continue to sit with him for years to come.
Ayahuasca itself doesn’t heal you. It expands your consciousness so that you can heal yourself.
After a decade of working with plant medicine, you develop a deep discernment for what constitutes a truly safe energetic container. Having sat with the Shipibo in the Amazon, I became acutely aware of how delicate and vital this work is. When I first sat with Kano in 2022, I was blown away. His icaros carry a potency that transported me straight back to the jungle; he even ‘doctored’ my dieta lines, a level of mastery I’ve rarely encountered outside the Amazon.
Beyond his technical skill, Kano is a world-class guitarist and an incredibly grounded facilitator. He keeps it real and There is no ‘shaman guru’ ego here. It is a down-to-earth, safe space where you can remain authentic to yourself without feeling like you have to ascribe to any sort of weird dogma that you often find in these types of circles. If you are looking for a ceremony held with the highest integrity, this is it.
My first experience sitting with the medicine in the United States had me wondering if a ceremony rooted in the Shipibo lineage could be held with integrity outside of the Amazon. During my introduction call with Kano, his depth of knowledge of the plants, the lineage, and the ceremony both practically and spiritually, was immediately apparent.
My first ceremonies were challenging but through Kano’s guidance before, during, and after, I was able to meet those moments with curiousity, and integrate them deeply into my life. The work we did together was so profound that it set me on my own path with the plants, one that has shaped and changed my life in the most beautiful ways.
Kano holds space with integrity, clarity, and calmness. He brings a grounded, steady energy that creates genuine safety and trust. His connection to his teachers and lineage shines through in everything, from his powerful icaros and energetic protection to the beauty of his guitar melodies. In a world where this medicine is often held without the proper reverence it deserves, Kano is a rare and true steward of the plants.
I cannot recommend his ceremonies enough.
I came to this retreat at the end of 2025 after spending 10 days in Peru, earlier that year, sitting in over a dozen ceremonies.
I have sat in a number of settings, retreat styles and ceremonies, and I was so impressed with the professionalism, the attention to detail, the honoring of the shipibo lineage and the integrity of which the space was held.
The location, the surroundings and the land made this retreat all the more special, especially being held in the US, it still felt as if I was off-grid enough to really drop in to the medicine.
I highly recommend Earth Connection– for their amazing space, the incredible facilitation and also the ongoing community and support.
