Earth Connection Community is a spiritual retreat and church nestled on a private, secluded ranch south of Sedona, Arizona — a sanctuary where ancient desert land, dark skies, and deep stillness become the backdrop for genuine transformation.
We offer monthly, immersive, all-inclusive Ayahuasca retreats rooted in the Shipibo tradition of the Peruvian Amazon.
Our lead facilitator has spent over a decade in deep study and ceremony in Peru, working directly within the Shipibo lineage, and brings that same reverence, skill, and devotion to every retreat we hold.
What We Offer:
Each retreat spans 5 days and 4 nights and includes three Ayahuasca ceremonies followed by a dedicated integration day — giving the wisdom of the medicine time and space to settle into your daily life and spiritual path.
Guests stay on-site in brand-new, climate-controlled tiny homes, offering a serene and comfortable place to rest, reflect, and process between ceremonies. Every element of the container is intentionally curated:

I initially had concerns about the legality of the ceremony, but the intake team took the time to thoroughly explain how everything is conducted legally and ethically. Their transparency gave me the confidence to attend.
The facilitators were incredibly experienced, professional, and attentive throughout the entire process. The intake team was also very thorough in reviewing any pre-existing medical conditions to help ensure participants were appropriate candidates.
During the ceremony, there can be challenging moments, but I never felt alone. The facilitators were always there to provide support when needed, and the music was beautifully chosen. It created a calming atmosphere that helped me work through difficult experiences.
The food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, grown on the farm, and prepared with great care. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients.
One of the most valuable parts of the experience was the integration process. The team emphasizes that the ceremony is only the beginning, and they dedicate time to helping participants make sense of their experience. They patiently answered every question that came up, both during the retreat and afterward, making sure everyone felt supported as they integrated what they had learned into their daily lives.
Overall, I felt safe, supported, and genuinely cared for from start to finish. The professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to participant well-being made this a meaningful and well-organized experience.
There are not enough words to describe how much this retreat meant to me and how much I needed it. I stepped out of my comfort zone and felt a calling. The instant sense of community and acceptance from people I had never met before, the meaningful connections and conversation and really reconnecting with myself was so needed. I loved the grace and intentions of the Angels and shamanism and precise attention to every detail of the property. The clean eating, healthy lifestyle reset and intentions during each night were beautiful. I would definitely recommend this place and definitely considering doing it again when the time is right. I’ve now done two ceremonies with earth connection community, and I cannot speak highly enough about the overall experience. The land is so beautiful and sacred all the facilitators truly care about the participants and they really take care of you from the second. You get to the property up until you leave. I never once felt like they were pressured me to do anything or they wanted me to do anything that I was uncomfortable with everything about the experience was about creating a safe container. I now recommend earth connection community to all of my friends who are interested in these types of experiences.
My experience with Earth Connections has been exceptional. Every detail felt intentional, thoughtful, and rooted in creating a safe, supportive environment for deep healing.
When I arrived, I was immediately struck by the beauty of the land. The towering trees, peaceful atmosphere, and stunning property create such a grounding environment. One of my favorite aspects was that each participant got a bed in a tiny home with one other person, couples had the tiny home to themselves. After ceremony, being able to sleep in a comfortable bed, take a shower, enjoy some air conditioning, and simply have a private space to integrate was such an incredible gift. Many plant medicine retreats have participants sleep on their ceremony mats, so having a dedicated space to rest made a huge difference.
The food was absolutely incredible. Every meal was nourishing, delicious, and prepared with so much care. I loved learning that many of the vegetables and all of the eggs come directly from the land itself. The kitchen team put so much love into every meal, and the cleaning staff quietly worked behind the scenes each day to keep the spaces beautiful, fresh, and welcoming. It truly takes a village, and every member of the team contributed to the experience.
The facilitators were some of the most grounded, authentic, and heart-centered people I’ve had the privilege of sitting with. You can genuinely feel that they are doing their own inner work, and they hold such a strong, compassionate presence throughout the ceremonies. The medicine songs were absolutely beautiful and always seemed to arrive at exactly the right moment. I felt incredibly safe the entire weekend.
I also deeply appreciated how accessible everyone was. Whether I had a question, needed support, or simply wanted to check in, there was always someone available. The participant-to-facilitator ratio was outstanding, making it easy to receive help whenever it was needed. Their commitment to safety was evident throughout the entire retreat. They regularly reminded us to communicate any changes in our health, reviewed important guidelines, and emphasized confidentiality so everyone could feel safe being vulnerable and sharing deeply.
The medicine itself was powerful, potent, and exactly what I needed. I left feeling lighter than I have in a very long time, with greater clarity about the direction of my life and a profound sense of healing on every level – body, mind, and spirit.
One of the things that made this retreat especially meaningful was the integration day after the three ceremony nights. Instead of rushing everyone home, we were given time to slow down and gently reconnect with the world. We walked along the creek, explored more of the beautiful property and farm, shared another nourishing meal together, and ended the evening drinking cacao and dancing together to music created by Kano. It was such a joyful and meaningful way to close the experience and helped ease the transition back into everyday life.
Overall, I cannot recommend Earth Connections enough. If you’re feeling genuinely called to work with ayahuasca, to heal, to gain clarity, or to deepen your relationship with yourself, this is an incredibly supportive place to do that work.

I attended a 3-night ceremony with Kano and crew through Earth Connections in the Arizona desert and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It’s hard to put into words. This was my first time sitting with the medicine, but I felt comfortable the entire time due to the knowledge and love that team shares when you hold space with them. While the medicine took me down a hard path the first night, the next two nights were filled with connecting dots and putting puzzle pieces together that made this a truly profound experience. The ikaros and other music was both intense and beautiful. Kano and the other people helping with the music definitely have a gift. And the angels like Seybrielle, Olga, and Brett were there to support anyone that needed it.
I would highly recommend this to anyone thinking about this type of experience, but I would strongly encourage you to have an orientation call first to make sure it’s right for you.

I have been attending ceremonies with Kano Mai since I began my journey with the plants in 2021. Kano carries himself with a level of humility that’s rare. In his presence, there is a quiet strength and wisdom that naturally creates a sense of trust. It feels grounded, steady, and genuine in a way that’s hard to describe.

Working alongside Kano and witnessing his evolution through the years has been a genuine honor. There is a depth to the way he has met himself over time that is not performative or conceptual. It is earned. You can feel it in the spaces he holds. Kano carries a grounded presence that allows others to settle, to open, and to trust the process they are in. He does not rush, fix, or impose. He listens. He attunes to the field and serves it wholeheartedly. And from that place, something real begins to unfold. The kind of healing that happens in his space is not forced. It emerges, naturally, because of the safety and integrity he embodies. What stands out most to me is his devotion. Earth Connection Community creates a beautiful container for the medicine to do its work. The shaman Kano has a strong, confident, and kind presence. It is clear that he has had much training with the Shipibo people, and brings their lineage strong into his ceremonies.

One thing I love in particular is the thorough intake process, and the emphasis here on integration. ECC is the first to have offered me an integration call or any integration resources for that matter.
I had heard about ayahuasca for over 10 years before sitting in my first ceremony. I was petrified but something deeper called me forward. A friend who sits regularly in Mexico told me to watch out for white people serving indigenous medicine in America. With that information, I walked in with a boat load of judgements before the first ceremony.
I’m happy to report Kano serves this medicine with utmost integrity and respect to the shipibo lineage. He has studied with this tribe in the jungles of Peru for many years. He holds a strong and sturdy container where I felt fully safe to go deep and heal. His music, his heart, his commitment to humanity is like no other. He served me my first cup of ayahuasca and I will continue to sit with him for years to come.
Ayahuasca itself doesn’t heal you. It expands your consciousness so that you can heal yourself.
After a decade of working with plant medicine, you develop a deep discernment for what constitutes a truly safe energetic container. Having sat with the Shipibo in the Amazon, I became acutely aware of how delicate and vital this work is. When I first sat with Kano in 2022, I was blown away. His icaros carry a potency that transported me straight back to the jungle; he even ‘doctored’ my dieta lines, a level of mastery I’ve rarely encountered outside the Amazon.
Beyond his technical skill, Kano is a world-class guitarist and an incredibly grounded facilitator. He keeps it real and There is no ‘shaman guru’ ego here. It is a down-to-earth, safe space where you can remain authentic to yourself without feeling like you have to ascribe to any sort of weird dogma that you often find in these types of circles. If you are looking for a ceremony held with the highest integrity, this is it.
My first experience sitting with the medicine in the United States had me wondering if a ceremony rooted in the Shipibo lineage could be held with integrity outside of the Amazon. During my introduction call with Kano, his depth of knowledge of the plants, the lineage, and the ceremony both practically and spiritually, was immediately apparent.

I have sat in a number of settings, retreat styles and ceremonies, and I was so impressed with the professionalism, the attention to detail, the honoring of the shipibo lineage and the integrity of which the space was held.
The location, the surroundings and the land made this retreat all the more special, especially being held in the US, it still felt as if I was off-grid enough to really drop in to the medicine.
