Massachusetts Plant Retreats
About Us
We are two practitioners working in the Shipibo tradition of Amazonian plant medicine, bringing small, carefully held retreats to the New England area. Between us, we have over 15 years of combined experience studying directly with a master Shipibo curandero in Peru, and have each completed extensive dieting and training — the traditional path of preparation that this lineage requires. We came to this work not out of curiosity but through our own deep healing processes, and that personal experience informs how we hold space for others.
Our approach is trauma focused and deliberately small group. Every prospective participant goes through a thorough intake process reviewed in consultation with licensed mental health and medical professionals, and the retreat includes extensive pre ceremony preparation and post ceremony integration support. One of us has a background in western trauma processing modalities including work with childhood sexual trauma, substance abuse, and compulsive disorders and brings that lens alongside the traditional practice. The other is an approved facilitator under a licensed psilocybin framework in Massachusetts and has been singing in ceremony for roughly five years.
We believe this medicine works best in community, which is why we welcome couples, family groups, and friend groups alongside individuals. Our retreats are currently held in Pioneer Valley, Massachusetts in a natural, supportive setting, with upcoming dates this summer. We review every case individually and are happy to have an honest conversation about whether this is the right fit, including if it isn’t.
