Church of Our Earth
About Us
Church of Our Earth is a nature-based church in Maine, founded in 2022 and led by women. Its members treat psilocybin mushrooms as a sacrament, mostly in microdoses, and its practice draws on Paganism, Taoism and the seasonal festivals of the Wheel of the Year.
The church offers psychedelic ceremonies for individuals and small groups, each with two preparation meetings before and two integration meetings after. It also lists integration sessions, microdosing coaching, private rituals for grief and life changes, workshops, and end-of-life support such as doula and vigil work, plus an eight-week training for death doulas and hospice workers. Member meetings and courses run online over Zoom.
Membership is by application and open to adults in any state. The church says only ministers it has authorized lead ceremonies and that every participant is screened first. Part of its work is held at reduced rates for Mainers who qualify.
