This group of people truly mean well. And I mean that. After working with this church for many months, I got serious concerns about their ability to keep participants safe due to lack of training. This may have changed in the last month since I left to be fair. They are serving medicine purely off the pretense that “mother aya” told me I should and this is not ideal although the church leader Gervais I feel means well. After creating a unsafe work space for its employees(I was told), several have left including board members and the important/vital staff members. keeping shamans working with the organization was difficult as well as they have gone through several of them again this may not be all their fault, but regardless they decided they wanted to go alone and they have. They are solid people, mean well but are misguided and therefore a potential danger to participants that may have previous trauma. I love the people that work there and the participants and hate to “bash” anyone but this is serious work that you need to be trained to do and without that your just dangerous and creating a cult. I hope they turn it around.
Id like to retract my Rating as they wont allow me to delete it. Im not super comfortable with this format. I dont like feeling like this is a “bash” page. I have not been to the church in months and since then things may have changed. I think we need to try and give people the benefit of the doubt as we all evolve and change. So id like to reword mine to say. My PREVIOUS experience was xyz. I also do see members of the staff here commenting and I think it would be more beneficial to respond to the comments about some of the privacy claims, and touch. Its not trauma informed and this has been brought up and discussed so if this is still happening that is not good but again I have not been there so I retract my comments if things have changed. I do believe they mean well but training is vital. So in closing lets be gentle and allow folks to respond to claims in a professional fashion and Im going to try and have the admins remove my previous comment. Also its a conflict of interest since I also run a aya church. Please give me grace as well.
This is an amazing and unique group due to their vital background and training of Trauma Informed Plant Medicine Facilitators. This church is designed for people working with and working through trauma. They offer Ayahuasca and 5-meo DMT for members. They serve fresh plant based meals and offer integration on an extremely high level. They have the support in place with medical professionals, therapist, psychologist, integration specialist, dieticians and more. They are more equipped than most groups to help people with their needs. If you are serious about healing and would like to work with the highest level of training then this is the group to consider.
