The retreat was a very powerful experience in many ways, the place was beautiful, the medicine sequence was incredible. the care was heartfelt. but I must mention that I felt the variety in the food, especially the plant-based milk options, could be improved. Ive been to a few spa retreats where Medicine is served and I was considering flying out to Costa Rica again. I was told I was not going to have to worry about vegan options and although there was food for me and 1 other participant, the options were limited to fruit, guacamole, oatmeal and lentils. I felt left out since other participants had a more complete menu. I believe to be totally inclusive this is a consideration to keep in mind.
Im grateful to the Shaman and the volunteers who assisted me in my process
Wow, this sounds like such a deeply transformative and intentional experience! I’ve been feeling a strong calling to explore sacred medicine in a safe and guided space, and your words truly resonate with what I’m seeking. I love that there’s such a strong emphasis on preparation, integration, and honoring the medicine.
I’m curious—how did you feel after the retreat in terms of clarity and embodiment? And how was the overall group energy? I’ve been looking into different retreats, and I’d love to find one where I can not only heal but also connect with a supportive and like-minded community.
Would love to hear more about your experience and any insights you’d share! 🙏🏼”
Your reflection is truly inspiring. It helps me gain a deeper understanding of what true medicine really means—not just a space for healing, but a home where the spirit finds support and guidance. It’s incredible to read about AYA’s authenticity and how it remains true to its purpose beyond profit, placing the well-being of each person at the center.
The way you describe your experience resonates with the true essence of healing: a safe space where judgment fades away, and transformation happens in the most genuine way. Knowing that AYA has been a refuge for you for years and that its energy is so unique that it drives you to travel hundreds of miles just to be there speaks volumes about its authenticity and power.
Thank you for sharing your testimony, as it helps broaden our perspective—especially when seeking safe and sacred spaces.
